A red onion I drew in my Rendering class. Part of the challenge was to invent a light source and portray the core shadow, reflected light, and diffused shadow accurately.
Ended up using an ink well and pen. It was fun.
Oh, and I made it large-ish so that you could look at it big, if you're into that.

Pen+ink; 2 hrs; Strathmore 500 plate finish paper

Damn...it looks good. It looks like the light is coming from the top right, in that case shouldn't the shadow be elongated at the bottom left?

Really nice!

That reminds me, this morning I saw a youtube clip showing some Japanese guy cutting through all sorts of things with a katana, filmed at a super high speed for lovely slooow motion goodness. One of the things was an onion. It looked so elegant.

I didn't use micron pens.. we're not allowed to use them. EVER. I used an ink well. It's way better... lol

YES!! It should. But I didn't finish it until a week later, and I had forgotten what I was doing, so I messed it up terribly. Sowwy :(
